Welcome to the 3rd Annual Arizona Barbecue Festival web site! This year, we’ve got a brand new location: Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona! Set to become the biggest BBQ event in the state, this combined competition and food festival will take place on the sprawling grass fields outside the spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. BBQ teams will battle for $40,000 cash (the largest prize fund in AZ), while tons of the region’s top BBQ vendors dish out the best smoked meat you’ve ever tasted. There will be plenty of $2 competition samples to go around this year, too. And when we say plenty, we mean tens of thousands. Come get yours! Also new this year: a second day!
